Diğer sürgünlerde de düşük fiyattan alım yapılıyordu. Ancak özellikle bu hasat döneminde firmalar yaş çayı oldukça düşük fiyattan satın alıyor. 88,5 kuruş olan taban fiyatını 60 kuruşlara kadar indiriyorlar. Bazı firmalar aldıkları yaş çayın karşılığını kömür veya gıda maddesi olarak veriyor. Tabi kömür veya gıda maddelerinin fiyatı piyasa şartlarına göre değerlendirilmiyor. Piyasanın çok daha fazla üzerinde bir fiyat baz alınıyor. Dolayısıyla üreticinin parası da yarı yarıya düşmüş oluyor. Bazı firmalar da satın aldığı yaş çayın karşılığını kuru çay olarak veriyor. Ancak bunda da satın alınan yaş çayın en az yüzde 10-12'si oranında kuru çay verilmesi gerekirken bu oran yüzde 7'lere kadar düşüyor.
